If you are going to travel to the Italian city more fashion but more than empty your pocket in the stores you want to know where to get a few pounds of happiness ... you are in the right place. We are going to tell you 8 restaurants where to eat in Milan (good and cheap) . There are options for all tastes: from pizzas to Milanese cuisine classics, vegetarian options and to enjoy a great aperitif. Here they go.
We started strong because for many, here is the best pizza in Milan. The secret? Typical products of the region of Campania (the homeland of pizza) and much passion. The prices are also quite good: € 7 for a Margherita and € 10-13 for pizzas with different ingredients.
It's the place where every time I went to Milan, I ended up making " appetizer ": for € 11 you have a drink and a buffet free of pasta, pizza, risotto, sandwiches, and also sweet options (Nutella pizza!) ... A large number of drinks to choose from, but if you never tried the Aperol spritz we recommend it to be your choice. On our last visit, I tried the Coconut and Pepper Spritz and it is a resounding NO (whoever happens to ask for that? BAD) instead, the Spritz from Maracujá looked great! Be in the coolest area of Milan: Navigli. The only negative note is that it gets very crowded, so it's best to see it early (it opens at 6 pm). Also, in the same street, there are a lot of places that offer snacks, but for us, the Spritz is the best!
Here the most famous panzerotti in the city are prepared. Do not you know what the panzerotti are? They are a kind of empanadilla with different types of stuffing. The classic recipe, typical of southern Italy, is tomato and mozzarella. Luini is a good place to snack or eat something fast. Do not be fooled: they are small but bullies, with a good snack, if you are hungrier ask 2. We tried the tomato and mozzarella and the zucchini and mozzarella integral. Total price: € 5.20.
It is a simple place where you can eat a chicken SOOO delicious. If you go through here and want to eat something tasty but fast, it's an excellent choice. The plate of half chicken costs € 4.5 but there are also options to eat a sandwich or skewers of different types.
It is a restaurant that specializes in typical Milanese food, so it is a perfect restaurant if you want to try local dishes. It also has a wide range of Italian dishes, all cooked with quality ingredients. The first courses (pasta, ravioli, soups, gnocchi ...) cost around 6-10 € and the second ones (meat, fish, cheese ...) 9-14 €. It is usually always quite full so if you want to go almost better book a table.
It is a colorful, cheerful place with friendly staff. But the big star is his pizza, quite different from the classic version. If you like truffles try the Pomet Tartufo (mashed potatoes, mozzarella, pecorino cheese, scamorza affumicata, tartufado oil). Prices around € 10.
A hamburger a year does not hurt, nor a week, especially if it is these vegetarian burgers the sea of rich (and beautiful: the rolls are colored, natural ehhh). The prices of hamburgers are between € 6.5-10. The specialty of the house, the flower burger, carries black bread with charcoal, hamburger of seitan, salad, soy, tomato, vegan cheese and pepper sauce.
One of the dishes that you have to try in Milan is the " cotoletta alla Milanese ", a pork chop battered to suck your fingers. In this restaurant they prepare up to 15 different types: the original, which has nothing, it is simply the breaded chop, costs € 14, while the most elaborate cost about € 15-17. The zip line, with speck and brie, must be dead. The dishes are huge, so a good idea is to take a cotoletta and another dish to share (if their risotto alla Milanese -with saffron- as the dish of the day, do not hesitate!).
When in Milan and you want to try authentic Italian cuisine for a not so expensive price, give one or two of these places a try.
