Visual Opi8: Black Sand Beaches

*Visual Opi8 will be a series of photo articles spotlighting individual attractions that will inspire you to want to travel to these countries adding them to your bucket list.

There is a lot of beauty in this world.  I am one who loves being in a tropical environment.  More specifically, being at the beach.  This is at the heart of vacation mode.  I live in the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia).  I love my hometown but it feels amazing to go to a coastal town or resort.  Typically we see a white sand beach when we dream of making these trips.  One of the most beautiful things nature has to offer is the black sand beach.  In this edition of Visual Opi8, we give all due props and respect to the black sand beach.  A real and rare beauty that should get more attention.

The cool thing about black sand beaches is they can be located everywhere from exotic warm-weather destinations to colder climates close to the arctic.
